Since the passing of Amendment 3 we have received many questions about Missouri adult use marijuana. We’ve compiled a detailed list of questions and answers about the new Missouri adult-use marijuana laws, what everything means for our Missouri medical marijuana patients, and what you can expect to see from us at Terrabis.

Q. When can Terrabis start selling adult use marijuana in Missouri?
A. The department could issue permits any time between Dec 8th and Feb 8th.
We will announce to you in advance as to when we will be selling adult use marijuana in Missouri.
Q. Are there restrictions on how much adult use marijuana I can buy in Missouri?
A. Yes, persons over twenty-one (21) years of age may purchase up to 3oz of dried, unprocessed marijuana product (flower), or its equivalent, in a single transaction. Purchase limits for medical card holders have also been increased from 4 oz to 6 oz of dried, unprocessed marijuana, or its equivalent, in a thirty-day period absent an alternative amount having been authorized by the patient’s certifying physician or nurse practitioner.
Q. Who can buy cannabis in Missouri?
A. Anyone with a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID indicating they are over 21, Also, any out of state medical card will apply.
Q. How soon will out of state medical cards be accepted in Missouri?
A. . We anticipate we will be able to accept identification cards issued by another state in mid-December as soon as the Department finalizes the rules and regulations relative to out-of-state purchases.
We will announce to you in advance as to when we will be accepting out-of-state medical identification cards.
Q. Will my Missouri medical card still work in Missouri?
A. Yes, active medical cards will still work and you pay on average 2% less in taxes than non-card holders.
Q. Can I buy adult use marijuana in your drive thru?
A. Yes, you will have the same access to cannabis as medical patients.
Q. Will Terrabis still offer specials on cannabis to medical patients?
A. Yes, of course.
Q. Can I drive with cannabis in the car in Missouri?
A. Consumers may possess up to three (3) ounces of dried, unprocessed marijuana product, or its equivalent. However, Amendment 3 does not protect consumers from existing laws that assign liability for consumption of or smoking marijuana while inside of or while operating or being in physical control of a motor vehicle, train, aircraft, motorboat, or other motorized form of transport. Driving while impaired laws apply!
Q. Can people from out of state buy cannabis in Missouri from Terrabis?
A. Yes, if they are over 21 and present a valid, unexpired government issued photo ID at time of entry/purchase.
Q. How will Missouri marijuana supplies look next year?
A. We anticipate there will be plenty of product available.
Q. What is the tax rate for adult use marijuana in Missouri?
A. Adult use will be taxed at 6% (medical 4%) at the state level. Municipalities can add on another 3%.
Q. Will other countries ID’s work? (Mexico, Canada, Indian Res, etc)
A. Dispensary facilities are authorized to sell to any person over twenty-one years of age in possession of a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID.
Q. Will I be eligible to purchase any product including high dose edibles? Any exclusions?
A. Yes, there are no restrictions on THC percentages.
Q. Can I consume cannabis in public in Missouri? Where can I legally consume marijuana in Missouri?
A. No, cannabis cannot be consumed in public. You can consume on private property or in an area licensed or permitted by authorities in which marijuana may be smoked or consumed, such as a consumption lounge or special event. Amendment 3 does not protect consumers from existing laws that assign liability for consumption of or smoking marijuana while inside of or while operating or being in physical control of a motor vehicle, train, aircraft, motorboat, or other motorized form of transport.
Q. When does the 3 year Missouri medical marijuana card renewal kick in?
A. Medical ID cards issued after December 8, 2022, will be valid for three (3) years. Current medical ID card holders will retain their existing expiration dates, and at time of the next renewal, will be eligible for the 3-year expiration.
Q. Will Terrabis have a separate medical marijuana menu?
A: We will have one menu for everyone.
