It’s time to update the rules on when dispensaries can be open. Right now, we can walk into a grocery store late in the evening to buy alcohol, but dispensaries have to close earlier. That doesn’t really make sense. Cannabis is legal. Why should it be treated differently?
Operating hours should serve the customer, not the calendar.
Illnesses and work shifts don’t end at 10pm. We believe cannabis retailers should be trusted to operate on standard retail schedules, similar to pharmacies or grocery stores. Arbitrary time restrictions only hurt working families who need flexibility to access their products safely and legally. For people who work odd hours or have busy schedules, this makes it harder to shop at a time that actually works. Dispensaries should be allowed to operate the same hours as other stores that sell alcohol.
